Most of the time we are working on all aspects of our businesses by ourselves.  Saving time anywhere we can can be super helpful. Repurposing Facebook Lives is a great way of creating more content from the Lives you show up for is creating blog posts, youtube videos and Instagram content all from one Facebook Live video.

Repurposing Facebook Lives – Step by Step Guide

  1. Decide on the topic and research talking points.  The Doula Toolbox has a great Facebook Live template I use!
  2. Schedule the Facebook Live in your Planner.
  3. Go live. A great tip for creating content that won’t seem like a Facebook Live is by covering the comments and the viewers with a post-it note so you are not distracted with welcoming and interacting with the viewers while sharing your content.
  4. Once finished the live, edit the captions and description of the video
  5. Download video to computer / device
  6. Create blog post based on content you discussed
  7. Come up with blog title – Catchy titles for the win.  Grab the attention of your readers.
  8. Create graphics -think about your branding.  I use Adobe Spark but Canva works too!
    • Blog Feature Image can also be used for Youtube video cover
    • Pinterest Image(s)
    • Instagram social post(s)
  9. Upload Facebook Live video to Youtube – add the blog feature image
  10. Once Youtube video is published – go to the video on your channel, click on share and choose <embed> grab the code and insert into your text format of your blog. *If that doesn’t work, you can select the youtube link and share that instead.
  11. Publish blog post.
  12. Add blog link to your Quick Link Page and/or Instagram bio.
  13. Share to your media accounts – send an email newsletter, Talk about post pin Instagram Stories, share on Facebook Business Page. Share on Pinterest. Drive that traffic to your site!
  14. Well done! You rock. Congrats on repurposing your Facebook Live content.
